Expert Consultation
We start by working with you to understand what you’re trying to achieve and the experience you want people to have in your commercial space.
Our team will input from the start, asking questions, offering advice, suggesting different approaches for lighting design and ways to bring your vision to life, no matter how complex or difficult it may seem.
We will also help you explore the vast range of materials we can use to create your lighting while guiding you to the look and feel that’s right for you.
Commercial Lighting Design
Once we fully understand your project, we take the
all-important dimensions for the environment you want to light and brief our lighting designers.
Our team will bring your vision to life, creating beautiful in-depth sketches and 3D renders of the custom lighting concept we propose.
This lets you see how we will draw attention to the spaces and key features that matter in your building and achieve the ambience you desire.
Handmade In Britain
When you’re fully satisfied with our interpretation of your vision, our in-house craftspeople, here in the UK, will take over.
They have more than 100 years of glassblowing and bespoke manufacturing experience between them which they’ll use to produce your pendants, chandeliers and other bespoke designs by hand.
Every light will be finished to the very highest standards, often using complex techniques and premium materials to create one-of-a-kind pieces which are a real statement for your project.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does it take to create bespoke lighting?
This depends on the size of the project. If you’re only looking for one or two light fittings then it can be designed and produced in as little as four weeks. If you’re wanting, for example, dozens of bespoke pendant lights and wall lights for a 50-bedroom hotel then it can take around 12 weeks. We can provide clear estimates in terms of time once we understand what exactly you're looking for.
Where do you work in the UK?
In Scotland we work in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dundee, Aberdeen, Stirling, Perth, Inverness and towns and villages. We also work in Northern Ireland. In short, we deliver across the UK and can help you wherever you’re located.
Do you only work with glass?
Glass is just one of the materials we use. We create bespoke lighting using sheet metal, stainless steel, brass, copper and lots more besides. In short, we can make your lights out of almost anything you want. We will obviously recommend materials and finishes to help realise your vision.
Is there a guarantee with bespoke lighting?
We create high-end lighting using only the finest materials and so we expect our products to last a lifetime. In the highly unlikely event of you ever having a problem with any of our products during normal use, please contact us and we’ll do what we can to help.
Who do you work with?
On the commercial side, we’ve worked across a vast range of different sectors ranging from restaurants and bars to hotels and retail. Our immediate clients are often interior designers, architects or business owners.
What information do you need in order to quote?
We will need details of what you’re trying to achieve, the floor to ceiling height, photos of the area (or areas) where the lighting is to be positioned and, where lights are to be above tables, what are the height of the tables. We also like to have architectural drawings and/or floor plans if we can get them but they’re not essential. There are lots more questions we will have but, if you give us a call, we’ll be happy to go through them with you.
Safety, Delivery And After Care
Our in-house electricians will carefully handle the final assembly, wiring and testing of each piece.
